We are happy that you and your child have chosen to participate in our program. Our Before and After School Program is a recreational program that is for St. Joseph students in Pre-K thru 8th grades.
Our Before and After School Program seeks to:
-Deliver quality recreation activities that are safe and fun
-Enrich children with experiences beyond standard curriculum
-Provide positive staff role models
-Strive to ensure that each child enjoys each day in the Before and After School Program
Before School Program
Hours: 7:00AM - 8:00AM in Ferdinand Hall
All students need to arrive in full uniform.
Breakfast Option: A cold breakfast will be offered for a $1.00 charge on a daily basis
After School Program
Hours: 3:00PM - 5:30PM in the school's lower level (Pre-K and Art Rooms)
3:00 - Students will be picked up at their class and taken to the bathroom, then snack time
3:15-3:45 - Required 1/2 hour of homework/quiet time
3:45-5:30 - Activity/Art time
Students will need parent/guardian to sign them out daily
The following items are not allowed during program hours: cell phones, video games, MP3 players, radios, tape or CD players or any other electronic devices. These items will be confiscated and parent will have to retrieve them from staff. Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller skates, roller blades, and heelys are not to be used on the grounds.
Rates for Students in the Before and After School Program
The BASP charges by the minute, and we do not estimate or round to the nearest hour when preparing your invoice. This saves families money and you only pay for the time your child is actually in the program.
$4.00/hour for family with 1 student registered in the St. Joseph Before and After School Program who doesn't qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch Program
$3.00/hour per child for family with two or more students registered in the St. Joseph Before and After School Program who doesn't qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch
$3.00/hour per child for family of student(s) that qualify for the Reduced Lunch Program
$2.00/hour per child for family of student(s) that qualify for the Free Lunch Program
Payment Arrangements
Weekly invoices will be sent home every Monday evening with your child. We ask that full payment is made by Wednesday. You may also pre-pay for the program and we will inform you when the account is low. We ask for prompt payment since we do not receive any financial support from the school or parish.
All payment must be given to the program administrators to keep your account updated. Checks should be made out to "St. Joseph School".
Half Day Program and PTO Night
This year St. Joseph School has several half days. The BASP will be in operation on these days from 12:00PM - 5:30PM. Lunch for $2.55 per child, activities, and larger art projects will keep your children busy. Check your Friday folders for additional information.
PTO Night tends to be a very busy night for our families. To take the strain of picking up your child, dinner and returning to the school by 6:30, BASP will be offering the program until 6:15PM and dinner will be served for an extra $2.55 per child.
